Position: First Press Operator

Reporting to: Manufacturing Manager

Work for one of BC's Best! We are seeking First Press Operators to join our fantastic team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Quality control – blue lines, rule-outs, hickies, press problems, etc.
• Communicate to press operators and others involved.
• Decision making – respond to foreseen problems, trouble shooting, etc.
• Maintain a high level of control and morale.
• Register and fit.
• Train 2nd, 3rd, and 4th pressmen in their positions.
• Train 2nd pressmen to 1st pressmen positions.
• Maintain a safe work environment.

Qualifications:

• Requires a minimum of 8 years of related work experience.
• Requires a minimum of 3 years in a lead hand or team leader role.
• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalency.
• Must have the ability to make fast quality judgment calls dealing with web runs or other situations.
• Ability to maintain an organized pressroom.
