The Bald Eagle makes a statement of strength, limitless potential, grace, freedom and its soaring nature is truly inspirational. We’re lucky enough to see these beautiful creatures with our own eyes every winter when from November to February literally thousands of Bald Eagles migrate to the West Coast of British Columbia.
And now, the
Eagles in the City project has brought the Bald Eagle to the streets of Vancouver, Vancouver Island, and beyond – in support of children with special needs in BC. Pairing artists with sponsors like ourselves, and using a 7½’ fiberglass Eagle as a canvas, these unique works of art can be seen throughout BC until April 2010.
We’re proud to be a major sponsor of this worthy project as 100% of all proceeds from the Eagles in the City project go towards the
BC Lions Society for Children with Disabilities and the
Vancouver Canucks “Canucks for Kids’ Fund”. Benefitting children and their families all across British Columbia with much needed programs such as the Easter Seals Camps and Houses, patient care grants, hospital upgrades like the Vancouver Hospital helipad, as well as the innovative specialized care offered at the Canuck Place Children’s Hospice.
Want to get involved? Support the project and let your tastebuds soar with a commemorative Chocolate Eagle; or make plans to attend the Eagle Auction and Gala.
